A Place You Can Call Home

  Ministry Statement:
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.   Matthew 28:18-20

We believe the purpose of Christ's church is to fulfill the Great Commission, to teach, baptize, and teach the world. By teach, baptize, and teach, we mean the following: 1. Teach all people and nations the Gospel message of Christ's death, burial, and resurrection. 2. Baptize those who have responded to the Gospel message with repentance from sin and belief in Jesus Christ and God, thereby making them a part of Christ's Body, the local church that baptized them. 3. Teach them the Bible. Instructing them and discipling them towards spiritual growth and maturity.
Because it is the church's responsibility to fulfill the Great Commission, and because the church consists of saved, baptized individuals, we believe it is each and every individual member's privilige and responsibility to participate within the church towards fulfilling the Great Commission.

  Evangelism:
We believe God has given the responsibility and privilege of spreading the Gospel world-wide to His church. We believe in the clear, bold, and uncompromising preaching of the Gospel inside the church. We also believe the church must spread that Gospel beyond itself, therefore we support foreign missionaries and engage in door-to-door evangelism and surveying in our area. Although we believe God commissioned the work of evangelism to the church, we believe the power of evangelism comes from the Holy Spirit using God's Word to convict the hearts of sinners, not from our evangelistic attempts.

  Door-To-Door Evangelism:
Door-To-Door Evangelism consists of knocking on doors, inviting people to church, and sharing the Gospel with any who will listen. Anyone can participate; all anyone needs is to be saved themselves and to have a tract with the salvation message.

  Survey of Religion in America:
Those who are not sure they are ready to engage in door-to-door soul-winning can still participate in evangelism. Our survey consists of simple, non-confrontational questions the surveyor will ask each person who answers the door. If the surveyee shows interest in the questions, the surveyors record it and a couple of our soulwinners make a follow up visit to tell them the plan of salvation. Because surveyor knows exactly what to say, this is a useful way to grow accustomed to door-to-door visitation and soul-winning. The survey responses also provide our soul-winners with leads to people that are seeking spiritual answers and may be receptive to the Gospel.

   Youth Ministries:
We believe in the importance of training and supporting our young people. We believe our children and teens are not too young to grow and mature spiritually, and we provide the teaching they need to develope wisdom and a personal relationship with God. As young people grow through their pre-teen and teenage years, we believe it is vital that their spiritual growth match their physical growth. Every Sunday we have different Sunday Schools focusing on teaching specific age groups what they need to know at their age to grow spiritually, and our youth teachers and youth staff have a chance to teach and counsel them in our regular youth meetings.
We also believe it is important for our youth to be involved in a fun and supportive atmosphere. We want them to experience the Christian life as the lively and exciting personal relationship with God that it is, not as a dry and dead religion. So, we involve our youth in the church ministries, we have exciting activities and events, and we have youth group meetings regularly. Our desire is to give them the chance to form real relationships and close friendships with each other and with the rest of the church.
